This past week, we were traveling... celebrating my Granddad's ninety fifth birthday and visiting my brother-in-law. The car was jam packed. If you're getting ready for vacation I have two words of advise... tote bags! You can't have too many tote bags and they only take a little bit of space when you are packing... but my oh my how they hold all the goodies you pickup along the way.... and they squish into the free spaces in the car much better than luggage will squish.
Thanks to my Great Grandmother's Christmas packages every July while I was growing up, I always think about Christmas in July and that it's time to get a jump on all the gift making that's ahead. I have kept my New Years resolution by working on various Christmas ornaments every month but now it's time to add some gift making to the year-round Christmas projects.
I'm at a stage that I don't need to wear my glasses all the time... but I need them often enough that I always have them with me... which leads to me setting them down and them getting beat up all the time... and scratched lenses because of it. I need to make an eyeglass case for all the places I usually set them down. Maybe then I will actually keep them from getting scratched. I know better than to think I would actually carry a case from location to location so I'm going to use
production sewing methods to make a half dozen
eyeglass cases.
